A book-length poem exploring the shadowy underbelly not just of one city, but every city -- the underworld known as Carrion City, home to the forgotten, dismissed and deliberately discarded. Told in twelve parts connected with scraps of lost and ancient plays, GULA is a mix of modernist, post-modernist and Romantic poetic styles.
GULA was crowdfunded as part of the Book Bazaar 2025 on BackerKit, from November 21st to Dec 3rd 2025, and 20% of that fund was donated to UNRWA in February 2026.
